Take Control Systems

When it comes to sump pumps and backup pumps, it can be overwhelming and too many to choose from. Many people don’t realize the lifespan of many pumps. Unfortunately, it’s at the homeowner’s expense when they fail and don’t invest in a quality pump or backup system. This alone can lead to a very expense mistake.

When it comes to choosing a pump there are a couple things you need to look for. The first thing that stands out is the warranty. Does the pump back their product with a 1, 3 or 5 year warranty? Be careful choosing a 1 year warranty, especially if your finished basement depends on it.

The second thing is the total head. The head is the way a pump describes how many vertical feet it can pump water out of your basement. The pump might advertise it can do 60 GPM but if you look at the chart, that same pump can only do 30 GPM at 10 feet head. A lot of customers don’t realize the important when searching pumps and their specifications.

We’ve invested the time and education with multiple manufacturers. We’ve visited the plants to see how they’re made. We’re proud to offer a pump that stands out second to none. This makes choosing a pump with us simple, secure with a list of products that can be custom to your needs.

Our ION Technology pumps are all constructed with heavy-duty cast iron and stainless steel. All pumps can be used as the primary or backup. The ION switches on these pumps have no moving parts and therefore eliminate a mechanical component that can potentially fail.

Furthermore, the ION switch can be set at a higher level and to drain down 6-10” of water instead of the standard 4-6”. This would decrease the on/off cycle and increase the life of the pump. This technology is state of the art and more efficient.

The energy saving 115V AC pump consumes ½ the power of other pumps and has an extended run time during a power outage. We use AGM 12V DC batteries that convert to 115V AC when the power goes out. Our AC pumps have full performance until its dead, unlike DC batteries that fade in performance as the battery depletes.
